Our current programs are:
Project First Step:
(Established in 1985) Designed
for families experiencing medium to severe challenges in
parenting and family functioning.
• Services include home-based individual/family therapy
and counseling, parent education, resource acquisition
and follow-up
• Builds upon families' existing strengths and assures the
safety of everyone in the home
• Services are cost free and are typically provided over a
period of six to eight months
• Serves families with children from birth to age 17
• The children must reside in the home and the family must
be free of a substantiated hotline report
• Families can refer themselves to the program or can be
referred by another community agency
• Services are provided in St. Louis City and St. Louis
County.
School Links:
(Established in 1995) Designed for children and families
experiencing medium to severe challenges in parenting,
family functioning, and/or school functioning.
• Provides in-home and school-based weekly
family/individual counseling, crisis intervention
counseling, parent education, resource acquisition, and
follow-up.
• Services are generally provided over a period of six to
eight months
• School Links currently takes place at three sites: Sigel
Elementary School (St. Louis Public Schools),
Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District and Valley Park School District.
• Serves families with children from birth through age 17
who attend school within a School Links site.
• Families can refer themselves to the program or can be
referred by the school or another community agency.
